UTILIS in new outfit
SITRONICS Telecom Solutions has introduced the new release of the UTILIS Metering Suite, which gives utility companies tools for remote control of their networks, remote metering and metering data administration – all in the real-time. Thanks to online communication with smart meters, utility companies are well informed about energy consumption, quality of supply, and have powerful tools for remote control of their networks. Thus, utility companies may optimise their distribution services and minimise losses of energy and income.
The new UTILIS Metering Suite 2.3 manages all standard tasks as its predecessors, but it has been enriched with a number of extra functions. The innovation includes refined group administration of meters. Various parameters may be associated in either static or dynamic meter groups. Establishing static groups significantly improves administration of meters sorted out on the basis of unvarying requirements of utility companies. Dynamic groups, on the contrary, enable building meter groups according to current environment conditions.
Security policy of UTILIS solution makes it possible to set up access rights variably for individual software users. Only selected users have access to selected data. Different access rights may be set even for the administration of independently controlled static and dynamic groups. Variable rights adjustment is an indisputable advantage even for companies administering data for other utility companies, which, thanks to UTILIS, now can provide selectable access to data in their networks.
UTILIS Metering Suite software solution has come closer to its users. The installation process is now fully automated (wizard-based) and does not require extensive specific knowledge. Software control generally has become simpler. End users also have new features available to them: enhanced context menu, quick search for network elements, one-click XML export of displayed data and the possibility to communicate in chosen language with all integrated systems of different suppliers .
