TENNET IMS Wipes Away Differences between Fixed and Mobile Networks
SITRONICS would like to publicly present “TENNET IMS“, a new solution for the future of telecommunication network convergence, created with expert knowledge in the telecom field.
Prague , July 31 st 2008 - After successfully concluding a testing campaign, SITRONICS Telecom Solutions, a manufacturer of telecommunication infrastructure, information systems and technologies, has introduced a new member of the TENNET product family, whose solutions enable transfers of traditional voice services into an IP environment. TENNET IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) is a new product designed to enrich the world of IP telecommunications with closely integrated voice, text, directory and location-based & presence services. Thanks to this solution, the gap between fixed and mobile networks has diminished to the extent that both types of networks may now operate on the same principles.
TENNET IMS enables the creation of an individualized communication environment. End users , for example, are able to set up their own user interfaces on their mobile phones and computers, configure scenarios for managing incoming communications or take advantage of the possibilities of an active contact list. TENNET IMS also significantly contributes to decreasing the number of unsuccessful calls or other errors because users, both operators and their customers, are able to communicate more effectively through different channels available to them - i.e. using mobile equipment or computers to communicate through standard voice or text messages, email, voice recording and more.
TENNET IMS is built on open standards technologies, which are based on internet protocol (IP) and signalling protocol (SIP). It uses standard hardware components, like ATCA™ platforms, and allows operators to flexibly regulate their performance with respects to reducing operating expenses and investment costs.

Another indisputable advantage the new solution offers to operators is the implementation of 3GPP and TISPAN standards. These industry standards ensure compatibility and interoperability between TENNET IMS and the products of other suppliers of network components. This solution enables operators to create and customize attractive service offers using an interoperable, converged, IMS solution together with best-of-breed standard equipment for all types of end users, be they residential or corporate.
